Different Types of Trenchers

Construction equipments are available in various types, and one of the most important one is a trencher. These are mainly required for digging at agricultural or construction sites. These equipments are available at various stores, and the well-known manufacturers are always looking to make something new for the customers. They offer quality performance, and the price is also affordable.

Trenchers are available in a wide variety, and each one has its own function and usefulness. The first in the list of trenchers would be the chain trencher. In this machine, the cutting work is done by the digging chain. The main advantage of this equipment is that it can cut any hard ground with ease. Some other features of this machine are that it can be used not only for narrow trenches but also for deep trenches as well.

In order to change the depth of the cut, it is possible to control the angle of the boom, and this makes the work much easier. This type of equipment is mainly used in large construction fields, and if you want to get rid of the excavated material then, you can use an additional conveyor belt also. Portable trenchers are second on the list, and they are mainly used for landscape edging and also for installing various irrigation lines.

If you are a lawn curer or landscaper, then one day you will definitely need this equipment as the mechanism which is used in this machine for cutting is either done by blades or chains. The blades resemble the ones which we normally see in the lawn mowers. Since this equipment uses blades, the cutting part becomes easy, and the work is done in no time. Another variety in the list is the wheel trencher. It often happens that the ground is so hard that the chain system is facing difficulties in cutting the ground. In such cases, wheel trenchers come to the rescue. These have cutting wheels which help in cutting the hardest of grounds, and it also works well in soft soil.

The diameter of the wheel is small, and the overall design makes the controlling of the equipment easy which assists in cutting the depth with ease. One of the most important features of this machine is that the tools are close to the wheels which enable the user to adjust the cutting width. In addition to this, there are several ejectors which would push the excavated soil from the trench when the digging is being done so that the equipment does not get clogged while working. For the best ones, one can surely look forward to Digga Europe – a fine company.

Micro trenchers would be another name in the list, and they are the best when it comes to working in the urban areas where you will get small trenches. The minimum depth which is achievable with this machine is 35mm, and a maximum depth is 550mm.

The controlling and operating is done with radio signals, and the best part is it excavates minimum amount of material. Although they are named micro trenchers, but they are capable of cutting hard grounds and solid stones. This machine is normally seen in most of the road maintenance works.
